We remind all travelers that it is necessary to have enough money for a trip abroad. Violating this rule may result in a ban on entry, so it is better to be financially prepared.

The border service regularly checks the financial capacity of travelers and may not let through those who do not have enough funds with them.

According to the tourism company, the minimum amounts are:

  • 56 euros per day in Slovakia
  • 75 Polish zlotys per day in Poland
  • 1000 Hungarian forints (approximately 2.5 euros) per day in Hungary

It is also recommended to have documents regarding the purpose of travel and hotel reservations. Regarding entry into Ukraine, there are also financial requirements defined by the legislation on border control.

Upon entry into Ukraine

According to the government decree, foreigners must have with them cash in the amount of 20 subsistence minimums, which is 60560 hryvnias for the year 2025. The calculation is based on the planned duration of stay in the country.

It would be appropriate to have enough money for a trip abroad, as this may affect the possibility of entry. It is also important to have documents confirming the purpose of the trip and hotel reservations. Ukrainian laws also provide for financial requirements for entry into the country.
