According to Главком: Both Italy and Canada have confirmed they will extend their military assistance to Ukraine into 2026, reinforcing their solidarity during a critical period. Italy's cabinet has formally approved a decree to continue its aid program, which has already delivered 12 support packages since the war began. Having provided over €3 billion in military aid in 2025, Rome has now committed to maintaining this support throughout the coming year.

Canada has also pledged significant backing, announcing a $2 billion military aid package for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. This new Canadian support package will include:

• More than 400 armored vehicles, comprising 66 LAV 6 combat vehicles manufactured by General Dynamics;
• and 383 Senator armored vehicles from Roshel.

According to Giovambattista Fazzolari, further support packages are expected to be proposed in 2026, which will help strengthen Ukraine's defensive capabilities.

The sustained military aid from Italy and Canada underscores the stable international backing for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
