ForceField C-UAS: A New Counter-Drone System

According to НВ — Техно: On July 20, the Israeli defense technology firm Axon Vision unveiled its latest anti-drone system, ForceField C-UAS. Designed specifically to counter FPV drones-including those operated via fiber-optic control-the system operates without relying on external detection networks, boosting its effectiveness in combat zones.

The system's development concluded after a series of live-fire tests in operationally realistic conditions. During these trials, ForceField demonstrated real-time capabilities to detect, track, and engage targets such as FPV drones. It uses passive sensors to identify aerial threats both day and night, while its Edge AI software processes data directly on the platform, enabling rapid decision-making.

Architecture and Capabilities of ForceField

ForceField's architecture keeps a human operator in the decision-making loop, allowing for adaptable counter-drone tactics based on the situation. Thanks to its modular design, the system integrates into existing military platforms-it can be mounted on current combat vehicles and forward operating positions without major modifications. ForceField also works with standard weapons and ammunition, making it a versatile military solution.

Customers can purchase the full protection system or integrate only the Edge AI detection layer. The growing threat of FPV drones on the battlefield underscores the timeliness of this development.

“Demonstrations confirmed the system's ability to protect moving military forces from one of the fastest-growing threats on the battlefield today,” said representatives from Axon Vision.

The introduction of the ForceField C-UAS reflects significant strides in defense technology as FPV drones become increasingly central to modern warfare. Integrating cutting-edge solutions like ForceField can enhance the safety of military units and give them a tactical edge in combat. As threats evolve, innovations in this field are becoming critical for adapting to new challenges on the battlefield.

As military technology evolves, innovative solutions like the AI-driven CobraJet drone from Ukrainian firm SkyDefense are also emerging to combat aerial threats. This highlights the increasing importance of advanced drone systems in modern warfare, underscoring the need for effective countermeasures like Israel's ForceField C-UAS.
