Israel carried out airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen

According to glavcom.ua: A message stating that Israel has begun a large military operation in Yemen called 'Black Flag' was announced by the country's Defense Minister Israel Katz. As part of this operation, strong strikes were made on Houthi positions in Yemen, particularly targeting strategic objects in various ports and power plants, as well as the ship Galaxy Leader, which was seized two years ago. It was noted that the strikes aimed to protect Israel from Houthi attacks, which often use Iranian weapons directed against the country.

«The fate of Yemen is like the fate of Tehran,» said Israel Katz.

It was also noted that the Houthis actively use maritime space to attack vessels and civilians, and therefore the Israeli Defense Forces decided to strike at targets related to terrorist activities. During the operation, fighter jets were used, but some of them were shot down by Houthi return fire. It is also worth noting that the United States approved the sale of guidance systems for bombs to Israel totaling more than 500 million dollars, which will enhance the country's defensive capabilities.
