The government approved the budget-2026: teachers' salaries will increase by 50%

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the updated draft budget for 2026, taking into account the recommendations of the Verkhovna Rada during the second reading. The main priorities remain defense, state resilience, and support for citizens.

The government plans to increase revenues by 27.8 billion hryvnias and expenditures by 33.6 billion hryvnias. It is expected that additional funds will be directed to the reserve fund, salary increases for teachers, public investment projects, and state housing policy.

The government supports budget corrections that relate to better funding for education and the housing sector, which is important for maintaining citizens' living standards and economic growth in the country.
