Appointment of Anka Feldghusen as business ombudsman

According to Главком: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Anka Feldghusen as business ombudsman, effective February 1, 2026. This decision was approved on January 7, 2026. The appointment came as a result of a decision made by the supervisory board of the Business Ombudsman's Council, which took place on November 25, 2025.

Previous experience and role in Ukraine

Anka Feldghusen previously held the position of the Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine from July 2019 to July 2023. She will be responsible for protecting companies, as the Business Ombudsman Council received 1,191 complaints from enterprises in 2024. Of these complaints:

• 61% were related to tax issues
• 13% - actions of law enforcement agencies
• 7% - actions of state regulators
• 6% - customs issues
• 4% - actions of local authorities

The appointment of Anka Feldghusen as business ombudsman is an important step towards ensuring effective protection of entrepreneurs' rights in Ukraine. Given the significant number of complaints received by the Business Ombudsman Council, Feldghusen's new role may be crucial in improving the business climate in the country. Her previous experience in diplomacy can help strengthen cooperation between business and state structures, which is necessary for stable economic development in Ukraine.
