FC Karpaty Transfer Updates

According to Главком: FC Karpaty are pushing forward with their busy transfer window, closing in on a deal for striker Nazariy Rusyn, currently with England's Sunderland. The two clubs have reached a preliminary agreement, and Rusyn's representatives are now working to finalize personal terms and settle compensation details with Sunderland.

Rusyn, a 27-year-old forward, joined Sunderland in 2023. During his time with the English club, he made 29 appearances and scored 2 goals. Earlier in his career, he also played on loan for Croatia's Hajduk Split and Poland's Arka Gdynia.

New Signing

Meanwhile, Karpaty have officially signed 19-year-old goalkeeper Denys Marchenko from Obolon. According to unofficial reports, the Lviv-based club will pay €1 million for Marchenko, with Obolon retaining 20% of any future transfer fee for the keeper.

Marchenko made his senior debut for Obolon on February 23, 2025. In the Ukrainian Premier League, he has played 22 matches, conceding 23 goals while keeping 11 clean sheets. He also has experience representing Ukraine's U-20 national team and recently joined the U-19 squad for a training camp ahead of the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.

With these moves, Karpaty are actively strengthening their squad, aiming to reach new heights in Ukrainian football.

FC Karpaty's aggressive transfer activity underscores their serious ambition to improve team performance in the coming seasons. Adding Rusyn could bring significant experience and attacking power, while young goalkeeper Marchenko will create competition in goal and offer long-term potential for the club.

In addition to the recent signing of Denys Marchenko, Karpaty continues to bolster their roster with strategic acquisitions. This proactive approach highlights the club's commitment to enhancing their competitive edge in the Ukrainian Premier League as they pursue new talent to strengthen their squad.
