According to Главком: The Ukrainian Association of Football's Control and Disciplinary Committee has issued its decision regarding the canceled Ukrainian Premier League fixture between FC Oleksandriya and FC Obolon. The match, which was scheduled for the 17th round on February 23, 2026, was called off due to the poor condition of the pitch. As a result, FC Oleksandriya has been handed a 0:3 technical defeat, while FC Obolon is awarded a 3:0 technical victory.

Furthermore, FC Oleksandriya has been ordered to pay a mandatory fine of 150,000 Ukrainian hryvnias. Per the committee's ruling, the club must also compensate FC Obolon for its expenses, as well as those incurred by match officials and the official broadcaster.

In other football news, the Ukrainian national team has successfully concluded its qualifying campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The team's final match was a 2:0 victory over Iceland, played in Warsaw. The goals were scored by Zubkov in the 83rd minute and Hutsuliak in the 90+3rd minute.
