Five Nephews and Nieces, Ages 2 to 8, Abused by Their Uncle in Kyiv

According to Прокуратура Київ: A 33-year-old resident of Kyiv has been formally charged with sexually abusing his five nieces and nephews, who range in age from 2 to 8 years old. The crimes took place between December 2024 and May 2025. The suspect is currently in custody with no possibility of bail.

The affected children include:

• three boys, aged 8, 6, and 2,
• two girls, aged 5 and 4.

All five children are the offspring of the suspect’s sister, and they all lived together with him and their grandmother in the same apartment. This family was already under supervision by social services. In December 2025, the mother and her five children were placed in a Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation following a home inspection and complaints from neighbors about child neglect.

The crimes came to light when the eldest boy spoke about them to a psychologist. The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office is overseeing the investigation. This case has sparked serious public concern and demands further inquiry.
