Easter Cultural Events in Kyiv

According to Главком: Kyiv will host a diverse program of cultural events on April 11-12, 2026, to celebrate the Easter holiday. The schedule includes exhibitions, theatrical performances, concerts, stand-up comedy, and a festive market, offering residents and visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit.

Exhibitions and Theater

A major exhibition by renowned Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk, titled 'I Rocked This World,' will be on display from March 13 to May 17, 2026. Featuring nearly 250 works, it will occupy four floors of the Kyiv History Museum. Additionally, the exhibition 'Black Pain,' showcasing a tapestry based on a design by Oleh Mashkevych and six works by Maria Prymachenko, will run until May 3, 2026. From April 9 to 27, 2026, the 'Code of Revival' exhibition will present paintings by Nina Fedotova and antique postcards from Petro Yakovenko's collection, items rescued from Horlivka during the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.

Three theatrical performances are scheduled for April 11:

  • 'The Miser' at 6:00 PM
  • 'The Sea... The Night... Candles...' at 3:00 PM, based on Yosef Bar-Yosef's play 'This Great Sea'
  • 'The Magnificent Century. The Merry One' also at 6:00 PM

The production of 'The Miser' is supported by the French Institute in Ukraine.

On April 11 at 6:00 PM, Yevhen Khmar will perform his 'Piano Therapy' concert; he has given over a hundred charity concerts in support of Ukraine's Armed Forces since the full-scale invasion began. The following day, April 12 at 4:00 PM, the 'Easter at St. Andrew's Church' concert will feature works by D. Bortniansky, M. Berezovsky, A. Vedel, M. Lysenko, K. Stetsenko, M. Leontovych, and M. Verbytsky, performed by the 'Blahovist' ensemble. Also on April 12, the comedy show 'Natural Selection' with judges Alla Volkova, Jaykhun Safarov, and Bohdan Boiaryn will be held at 4:00 PM, followed by an 'Easter Stand-Up' show at 7:00 PM featuring Mykyta Mekhanikov, Anton Zhytlov, Vlad Solonsky, and Vitalii Shynderovsky.

The 'Easter Market in Podil' will operate from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on both days. Advance tickets cost 100 UAH, while tickets purchased on the day cost 150 UAH. Free admission is granted to veterans, active military personnel, people with disabilities, pensioners, and children under 12. A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the medical company of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The market will offer various activities, including instant photos with an Instax camera, test drives of new cars, flower and Easter decor selections, assembling Easter baskets with textiles, candles, and egg stickers, as well as a children's zone and a food court.
