According to ХВИЛЯ: The Kyiv City State Administration (KCMA) has announced a temporary suspension of hot water supply in some residential buildings. This difficult decision was made to free up thermal capacity needed to restart the centralized heating system for homes. The city is currently working to repair damage from several massive attacks and is operating under an extremely strained energy situation. Utility services are implementing all possible emergency measures to manage the crisis.

The restrictions are not citywide but apply only to specific buildings where it is technically necessary. The KCMA stresses this is a forced and temporary step.

"The freed-up thermal capacity is being redirected to restore heating supply. Restarting the system technically is very difficult when outdoor temperatures are low,"

the administration emphasized. Authorities hope this measure will help address the aftermath of enemy attacks, restore heat to homes, and stabilize the energy system's operation.

The situation is particularly tense in Kyiv's Desnianskyi district, where heating systems in some buildings are being activated for the third time. This highlights the severe and repeated damage to civilian infrastructure from the ongoing war.
