A farewell ceremony for military Oleksandr Beremenko, who died while carrying out a combat mission in February in the Pokrovsk direction, was held in Kyiv. He worked as a producer at Channel 5 and was demobilized after serving in the ATO in 2015-2016.

Kyiv residents paid their last respects to Beremenko, escorting him at the Central Military Hospital and Maidan, before burying him at the Central City Cemetery in Berkovtsi. He served in the 71st Separate Ranger Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which engages in combat operations in specific conditions.

“He was always very brave and courageous. I am sure there are no more people like him. He was the only one for me,” said Oleksandr's daughter.

Oleksandr's brother, Vyacheslav Melnychuk, emphasized that the deceased was not only his elder brother but also known for his high moral qualities. Dmytro Telenkov, the chief editor of the channel where Beremenko worked, noted his humor, dedication, and kindness.

“I have lost count of how many times he went to war... He was calm, kind, balanced. He was motivated, physically developed, had a good mood, and the ability to solve many problems,” Telenkov said.

Oleksandr's brother, Oleksiy Beremenko, shared how difficult it was for him to cope with the loss of his brother, who took care of their mother, but recently the marshal took command from the outskirts of the city.

“Inside, some empty abyss opened up... He is gone, and I cannot believe it. He was a very strong person with an unreal sense of humor,” Oleksiy confessed.

After the farewell ceremony for the soldier, the national flag that covered his coffin was given to his wife. Oleksandr Beremenko was buried at the Alley of Heroes at the Central City Cemetery in Berkovtsi.

Friends, relatives, and colleagues from the professional environment honored the memory of the fallen soldier Oleksandr Beremenko, who gave his life for his country. His close ones described him as a brave, courageous, and humorous person who always maintained balance and kindness despite the many challenges he faced. The hero's burial took place with the appropriate military honors he rightfully earned for his selfless service in defense of the homeland.
