Kyiv Reinstates Rolling Power Outage Schedules: Details on the 'LightHome' Program
Rolling Power Outage Schedules Are Back in Effect
According to Главком: As of midnight on February 2, Kyiv has resumed the use of scheduled, temporary power outages. This measure was made possible by the efforts of energy workers who have managed to stabilize the city's power grid. Residents can now access up-to-date information on outage schedules via a dedicated chatbot, the DTEK company website, or the 'Kyiv Digital' mobile application.
Launch of the 'LightHome' Initiative
In a related development, applications for the 'LightHome' support program opened on January 30. This initiative is designed to help multi-apartment buildings secure autonomous power sources. Yasno's General Director, Serhii Kovalenko, has addressed consumer questions regarding the program's new features and the opportunities it provides.
The return to scheduled power cuts indicates that Kyiv's energy system is gradually stabilizing after the severe difficulties it faced earlier.

The various information channels for outage updates will help Kyiv residents plan their daily activities around the new schedules. The 'LightHome' program also opens new possibilities for residents, aiming to improve living conditions in the capital. These developments come as Ukraine continues to manage the impact of targeted attacks on its civilian energy infrastructure. The new support scheme could be a significant step toward greater energy independence for apartment buildings, which is especially relevant given the ongoing energy challenges. This will allow residents to better prepare for potential outages and enhance their quality of life in the city.
