Kyivstar Gains Official Authorization to Market Starlink to Government Clients
Kyivstar Secures Rights to Distribute Starlink Services
According to Мінцифра: Kyivstar has been officially authorized to sell Starlink internet services to Ukraine’s public sector and businesses. This represents a major milestone, as government entities previously could not purchase Starlink directly due to the lack of an authorized local provider. Now, state agencies and communities can launch procurement processes on the Prozorro platform without facing legal obstacles.
Benefits of the New Partnership
Through this collaboration, public institutions can acquire Starlink terminals via formal tenders, streamlining access to high-quality internet connectivity. Additionally, services and maintenance can be arranged through a single provider, offering a turnkey solution. This ensures stable, round-the-clock connections for:
- schools
- hospitals
- critical infrastructure facilities
even during emergencies.
This authorization marks a significant achievement for Ukraine, especially amid ongoing challenges tied to the war and the urgent need to maintain uninterrupted internet for vital institutions. The partnership is expected to enhance the country's communication quality, as fast internet access is essential for advancing public services and sustaining social infrastructure.
