Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the three fatalities, noting that eight of the injured were hospitalized. By 1:40 PM, four wounded had been reported, but that number later increased to six.
The attack occurred when a Russian drone crashed and exploded close to a gas distribution station. During the night of July 8, missile strikes sparked fires in the Desnianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts. A garage cooperative caught fire, which has since been extinguished. Separately, Russian forces launched guided aerial bomb attacks on Zaporizhzhia, leaving over 15,000 households without electricity. A business and a garage cooperative in the city were damaged.
Rescuers have extricated the body of another deceased person. This brings the death toll from the Russian drone attack to two.

The mayor added: 'There are currently 10 injured in the capital as a result of the enemy drone attack. Eight wounded have been hospitalized by medics. According to medical staff, three residents of the capital have died.'
