Meet Toby Henderson: A Feline with a Record-Breaking Feature

Toby Henderson, who resides in Sancing, Michigan, boasts 28 toes-the highest number ever recorded among felines worldwide. This makes him the only cat known to have such an impressive count of digits on his paws.

His owner, Delaney Henderson, recalls being utterly shocked when she first saw Toby’s paws.

“I already have another polydactyl cat, so I was expecting some extra 'thumbs,' but nothing could have prepared me for what I saw on Toby’s paws. He’s perfectly healthy, and aside from needing careful nail trimming-since he has 28 of them-he’s just a normal cat with no additional issues,” Delaney explains.

Toby also has a sister named Connie, who, unlike him, only has two extra toes on her front paws. Delaney shared her feelings about Toby: “When I met him, I felt like he was meant to be in my life, and I’m so grateful I gave him a forever home.”

Toby’s Personality and His Achievement

Beyond his unique toes, Toby is known for his affectionate nature. “When he’s not racing around like a little ball of energy, he turns into a real cuddly baby. He loves hugs, starts purring the moment you touch him, and when I’m on the couch, he always falls asleep between my legs. He’s truly special, an incredibly gentle cat, and we’re so lucky he became part of our family,” Delaney added.

In other news, 98-year-old Harry Gisman also set a record by standing on the wing of an airplane at an altitude of over 300 meters. He maintained his position for nine minutes during the flight-a remarkable feat for someone his age.
