Its claimed effective range for downing drones reaches 1,200 meters, though the portable version may have a shorter range.
System Limitations and Performance
The Lijian laser system requires 20 to 50 kW of power to operate efficiently. It has several limitations, including sensitivity to changing weather conditions such as rain, fog, smoke, and dust. The technology also relies on a clear 'line of sight': obstacles like buildings, hills, or trees can reduce its effectiveness.
