China shows weapon capable of disabling energy systems
According to glavcom.ua: China has developed a new weapon that can disable power plants and cause power outages over a certain area. The missile is launched from a ground installation, releasing 90 explosive charges that create carbon filaments upon detonation to short-circuit high-voltage energy systems.
The name of the weapon and details regarding its production stage have not been disclosed as of today.
Media speculate that this weapon resembles a graphite bomb used in the past. The idea of disabling an opponent's power grids is currently being actively researched and utilized in combat operations.
Ukrainian energy workers are preparing for potential power outages during the summer period. However, the situation in the country's energy system is currently better than a year ago. Nevertheless, the networks are prepared for increased loads both in summer and winter. Power outages may only occur as a result of strikes on energy infrastructure.
