Financial support for Ukraine after the cessation of hostilities

According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian diplomat Pavlo Klimkin emphasized the importance of maintaining financial support for Ukraine from allies and partners after the end of hostilities on the front. He noted that funding may decrease from the West, but it is important for Ukraine not only to receive security guarantees but also to have a source of financial support.

Klimkin expressed doubt that financial aid would remain at the previous level after the conflict ends. He also mentioned that European countries may consider the possibility of freezing Russian assets, but no decisions have been made on this yet.

«Our security can only be ensured if Ukraine becomes a full member of the West. There are simply no other options for our security,» emphasized the Ukrainian diplomat.

Russia's Conditions Regarding Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Ukraine can only exist if it frees people from the occupied territories who supported Russia's presence. Russia also does not recognize the legitimacy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but considers him a «de facto leader of the regime» and is willing to meet with him.

After the end of hostilities on the front, Ukrainian diplomat Pavlo Klimkin stressed the importance of maintaining financial support for Ukraine from Western allies and partners. He also raised concerns about the possible reduction of funding after the cessation of the conflict, which could arise in the West. In the event of reduced financial support, issues of security and stability in Ukraine may become complicated, making this issue remain relevant.
