The College of Europe is seeking a rector after Mogherini's resignation due to a corruption scandal

According to glavcom.ua: The College of Europe is looking for a new rector following a scandal related to corruption. The former rector Federica Mogherini resigned after being arrested as part of a fraud investigation. The College plans to appoint a new rector by June 2026.
The job requirements include the need to have citizenship of European countries, academic experience, and knowledge of English and French. The new rector is expected to adhere to the ethical standards of the College.
Recently released from custody Mogherini and another former EU diplomat after allegations of conspiracy to misuse EU funds for a project related to the College of Europe.
