According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian legislation does not define the possibility of a four-day work week. However, according to the State Employment Service, such a schedule is possible under local agreements between the parties.

The press service noted that during the war in Ukraine, the transition to a four-day work week would be inappropriate.

In this situation, public holidays are considered regular working days, working on weekends can be done without mandatory union consent, and the maximum number of hours in a work week can amount to 60 instead of the usual 40 hours.

Although many countries have already introduced a reduced work week for some sectors, this approach has not yet been fully implemented in Ukraine. The standard work week in the country is 40 hours, but exceptions may apply to certain categories of workers. In particular, under martial law, the duration of the work week may increase to 60 hours.

Ukrainian legislation does not provide for the establishment of a four-day work week, but in certain cases, local agreements are possible. During the transition period, especially under martial law, an increase in working hours may become necessary to ensure the normal functioning of the country's economy.
