According to Главком: Michael Eneramo suffered a fatal cardiac arrest during a friendly match in Kaduna, collapsing just five minutes into the second half after playing the entire first period. The 40-year-old former international was pronounced dead on the field due to sudden heart failure.

The Nigerian's Playing Career

Eneramo represented several clubs throughout his career, including:

  • Beşiktaş
  • Sivasspor
  • İstanbul Başakşehir

He earned 10 caps for Nigeria, making his debut in February 2009 against Jamaica. During the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, he scored a goal against Tunisia.

Mohammed Sanusi, Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation, reflected on Eneramo's career, stating: 'the world will remember Michael as an athletic and technically skilled forward who always fought until the end for results.'
