Mobilization of Denys Harmash

Former footballer of Kyiv 'Dynamo' and the national team of Ukraine Denys Harmash has been mobilized and is serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Harmash, who is 35 years old, did not have a reservation or deferral from conscription, which made him subject to mobilization. He was delivered to the Pechersk district territorial recruitment and social support center by the National Police.

After passing the military medical commission and communicating with recruiters, Harmash chose to serve in one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, specifically in the TCK. His mobilization is part of a general trend, as more than 6,500 volunteers join the ranks of the Armed Forces each month. This indicates the active participation of Ukrainians in defending the country during military actions.

Popular service directions

It is worth mentioning that popular service directions include:

  • infantry
  • staff
  • unmanned aerial vehicles
  • medicine
  • transport

Recently, interest in military service among young people, as well as among those who were previously not associated with the army, has been growing. The Kyiv city TCK described the information about Harmash's mobilization as 'manipulative', however, his example is a vivid testament of how athletes are actively participating in the defense of their country.

The mobilization of Denys Harmash highlights the importance of involving citizens, particularly representatives of sports, in the defense of the country during wartime.

The increase in the number of volunteers and new recruits in the Armed Forces of Ukraine reflects the general desire of Ukrainians to defend their land, which is critically important in the current conditions. This trend can positively influence the morale of society and support national unity in difficult times.
