According to Прокуратура Київ: A 51-year-old former police officer was detained in Kyiv on suspicion of fraud. He allegedly promised to assist a conscript in obtaining a second-degree disability certificate, falsely, in order to remove him from military registration. The man was caught receiving a bribe of $20,000. The arrest was conducted under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine during the money handover.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

The Golosiivsky District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv officially informed the suspect of charges under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This charge relates to obtaining an illegal benefit through influencing authorized officials, combined with extortion. The court has ordered his detention, with bail set at 266,000 hryvnias as an alternative.
