Christian Muñoz was a prominent figure in Colombian cycling. He rode for UAE Team Emirates from 2019 to 2021, where he competed alongside renowned cyclist Tadej Pogačar. During his career, Muñoz achieved notable success, including winning a stage of the 2018 Giro d'Italia U23 and finishing seventh overall in the same competition. He spent the last three seasons with the Colombian team Nu Colombia, continuing his athletic journey until its tragic end.
