Compensation for Damaged Housing: Ukraine Expands Opportunities for 'eRestoration'
According to hvylya.net: The corresponding changes have been made to the Procedure for providing compensation for the restoration of certain categories of real estate damaged as a result of hostilities, terrorist acts, diversions caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, using the electronic public service 'eRestoration'. According to the new rules, compensation recipients who, due to objective circumstances (defined by the resolution), were unable to fully or partially use the compensation funds within the established deadlines, are allowed to reapply for compensation or the remaining amount.
Ukrainians who have not managed to use compensation funds for the repair of housing damaged as a result of the war have been granted the right to reapply for this service. This was announced by the permanent representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
At the same time, the document establishes norms regarding the responsibility of compensation recipients for its improper use in case such a fact is revealed by the commission reviewing issues related to the provision of compensation. These changes are aimed at ensuring greater flexibility in the use of compensation funds for Ukrainians whose housing has been affected by Russian aggression while maintaining control over the targeted expenditure of budget funds.
Ukrainians who have not used the compensation for repairing damaged housing for objective reasons are allowed to reapply for this service. The changes in the compensation provision regulations are aimed at greater flexibility in fund usage while simultaneously ensuring control over their targeted use.
