Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kubrakov Holds Briefing

According to Міністерство інфраструктури: Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kubrakov has announced that the concession tender for Chornomorsk port is now in the bid evaluation phase. While the identities of the competing companies remain confidential, the government is actively courting both domestic and international investors. This strong interest in Ukrainian assets persists despite the ongoing war, signaling confidence in the country's strategic infrastructure.

Major Infrastructure Plans for Odesa Region

Oleksii Kubrarov emphasized that public-private partnership is the top priority for his Ministry. At least four major infrastructure projects are slated for the Odesa region. All six port water areas fall under the responsibility of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are bolstering short-range air defense systems, electronic warfare capabilities, and physical security for port facilities. In one water area, a volunteer territorial community formation is operational, demonstrating local civilian involvement in regional security. These developments highlight Ukraine's dual focus on attracting vital investment for economic recovery while rigorously defending critical assets. The planned projects represent a significant step toward the region's restoration and long-term economic stability.

As Ukraine seeks to enhance its port infrastructure, similar initiatives are underway to revitalize the Danube River ports. These reforms aim to attract investment and improve operational efficiency, paralleling the ongoing efforts in the Chornomorsk port concession.
