According to Рубрика — Політика: The Ramstein Contact Group on Ukraine’s defense will convene its next session on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at NATO headquarters in Brussels. This meeting is organized by the United Kingdom and Germany, who have been leading the group since January 2025. Established in April 2022 at the initiative of the United States, the Ramstein format brings together over 50 nations to coordinate military aid for Ukraine.
Recent Achievements and New Defense Agreements
During the 36th meeting held in early September 2026, members announced fresh deliveries of weaponry, ammunition, drones, and funding for defense projects. Key outcomes from that session included:
- advanced air defense systems;
- unmanned aerial vehicles (drones);
- artillery shells for Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
Earlier, in June 2026, partner countries pledged $4 billion in support, marking a record contribution toward air defense capabilities.
Notably, Ukraine and Germany signed an agreement to jointly develop new air defense systems aimed at countering ballistic missile threats. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted this initiative as the first step towards creating a European ballistic missile defense system.
“On Tuesday, November 17, 2026, the United Kingdom and Germany will lead the Ramstein Contact Group meeting on Ukraine’s defense at NATO headquarters,” stated NATO’s press service.
The Ramstein Contact Group meetings continue to play a crucial role in delivering military support to Ukraine, including substantial packages such as the $4 billion allocated for air defense and cutting-edge missile defense technologies.
These gatherings represent a vital milestone in bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities amid ongoing military aggression. The collaboration with international partners and newly forged agreements provide Ukraine with access to advanced technology and necessary funding to safeguard against emerging threats. This collective effort underscores the global commitment to supporting Ukraine and ensuring regional stability.
