This particular tank was supplied to Ukraine in 2023, and Ukrainian forces have already deployed it during operations in the Kursk region in 2024. Notably, King Charles III, who serves as the Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Tank Regiment, arrived at the museum in a 1920s Rolls-Royce armored car, the oldest vehicle in the museum's collection. This same car was used by Queen Elizabeth II when she visited the regiment in 1997.

Strengthening UK-Ukraine Ties

During his visit, the King also inspected the next-generation Challenger 3 battle tank. In July 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to the United Kingdom to attend the European Political Community summit, where he met with King Charles III. Zelensky emphasized the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, stating:
