The basket in ATB has risen in price by 4.7 times: how prices changed from 2020 to 2026

An order in ATB, which cost 367.45 UAH in 2020, was valued at 1731.55 UAH in 2026. A comparison of purchases in one of Ukraine's largest grocery chains showed a growth in the total amount of about 4.7 times, although some products changed. This is reported by Telegraf.

Prices in ATB: what has increased in price from 2020 to 2026

Journalists used the 'Repeat Order' function in the chain's app. The cost of the basket when paid with a regular card was 1364.10 UAH higher. According to the editorial calculations, this is approximately a 371% increase from the initial amount.

Among the items compared:

• pepper 'Mriya', 20 g: from 4.40 to 17.90 UAH;
• eggs 'Kvotchka', a dozen: from 26.40 to 87.90 UAH;
• yogurt 'Rastishka', 115 g: from 7.90 to 17.90 UAH;
• Arko Men Cool 2 in 1, 260 ml: from 28.90 to 103.90 UAH.

In this example, a dozen eggs rose by 61.50 UAH, or approximately 3.3 times. At the same time, egg prices depend on category and brand, so one product does not characterize the entire range.

Comparison of the ATB basket: what differences are important in 2026

Not all positions remained the same. Instead of oil 'Oleina' for 35.80 UAH, 'Smart Choice' for 77.17 UAH was included in the comparison. The volume is the same, 0.85 L, but the change of brand limits the accuracy of the comparison.

Cookies Roshen Multicake cost 13.70 UAH for 195 g, now 42.90 UAH for 180 g. According to the editorial calculations, the price per 100 g increased from approximately 7.03 to 23.83 UAH, which is 3.39 times. This is more than the increase in the price of the entire pack, which is 3.13 times.

In 'Mivina', the weight also changed: from 60 to 59.2 g, and the price rose from 4.90 to 19.40 UAH. For the buyer, such changes mean that not only the price tags of the packages should be compared, but also the cost of the same amount of product.

This basket shows the change in expenses for a specific order, not the overall inflation or dynamics of all ATB prices. It also does not prove the lag of wages. For a broader picture, comparable data on income and inflation in Ukraine for the entire period are needed.
