According to 5 канал: Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that a trilateral meeting of the presidents of Russia, the USA, and Ukraine, namely Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Volodymyr Zelensky, is only possible after the negotiation process is completed to formalize the agreements reached. This statement was a response to the proposal by CIA chief John Ratcliffe to hold such a meeting after his secret visit to Moscow on August 25.

Peskov emphasized that the organization of this meeting must be justified by the results of the negotiations.

“Such a meeting is only possible to formalize the agreements. Agreements are by no means a primitive deal; they are a very complex settlement process made up of a huge number of details,” he noted.

Furthermore, the Kremlin spokesperson stressed that the Ukrainian side is unwilling to engage in real settlement. “On the contrary, the Kyiv side does not wish to engage in real settlement,” Peskov emphasized.

Diplomatic efforts

It is noted that, according to Axios, John Ratcliffe discussed the restoration of negotiations and the possibility of holding a trilateral summit during meetings with Russian officials.
