Critical infrastructure is being protected: operators have purchased electronic warfare means for facilities
Electronic warfare means for Ukraine's critical infrastructure
According to Мін. Оборони: Operators of critical infrastructure in Ukraine have purchased and installed electronic warfare (EW) means to protect their facilities. This initiative is being implemented by the Ministry of Defense following the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The procurement of EW means covers operators in the energy sector and the defense industry.
The equipment that has been purchased has already been transferred for free use to the Ukrainian military. This is an important step in strengthening the security of the country's critical infrastructure, considering modern challenges and threats.
As noted by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, this initiative is a response to the needs of protecting strategically important facilities.
Security enhancement strategy
The implementation of electronic warfare means is part of Ukraine's overall strategy to enhance the security level of critical infrastructure amid increasing threats. Given that energy and defense facilities form the basis of national security, their protection is a priority for the state.
This also indicates Ukraine's adaptation to new challenges in the field of security and commitments to international partners.
