Kryvbas Announces Management Reshuffle

According to Главком: Ukrainian Premier League side FC Kryvbas has announced a key addition to its backroom staff. Spaniard Domingo Marín has joined the club as an assistant to head coach Patrick van Leeuwen. The 49-year-old, a native of Barcelona, holds a UEFA coaching license. Marín brings a wealth of international experience, having previously served as an assistant coach at several clubs, including:

  • AEK Larnaca
  • Maccabi Tel Aviv
  • Chongqing Lifan
  • Shenzhen FC

He also held the same role with the Ecuadorian national team. Marín further bolstered his qualifications with a Master's in Sports Management in 2017 and earned a Sporting Director license in 2022.

League Standing and Other Club News

Kryvbas enters the winter break positioned fifth in the league table, having accumulated 26 points from 16 matches. The team is set to resume its season on February 21st with a match against Metalist 1925 from Kharkiv.

In other Ukrainian football news, Lviv's Karpaty have secured a new signing from the Spanish league. Winger Cheber Alcaine, who previously played for Eibar in La Liga 2 and for Alavés in La Liga, has joined the club.

Separately, a new film titled 'Interception Game' has been released. The documentary tells the story of the Mykhailenko brothers: Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Mykola and his sibling Serhii, a commander of a mobile anti-aircraft defense unit. The film was directed by Volodymyr Mula.
