Ukrainian athlete Maria Kuts won bronze at the World Taekwondo Championship in Nairobi, Kenya. In the weight category up to 73 kg, she won two matches and stood on the podium after losing in the semifinals to an athlete from Greece.

Also at this championship, Ukrainian Maxim Manenko took 9th place. In total, Ukraine ranked 10th in the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

It is worth noting that this is the second highest number of awards for Ukraine at festivals since 1993. The record remains 2019 when our athletes won 25 medals.

The most medals among Ukrainian athletes were won by judokas, but impressive results were also shown by representatives of other sports - swimming, athletics, shooting, gymnastics, and table tennis.

Ukrainians also performed brilliantly at the World Summer Universiade

The World Summer Universiade competitions have concluded in Germany, where Ukrainian athletes showcased a high level of preparation. On the last day of competitions, Mykola Rushak won a bronze medal in the 20 km race walking. Our country ranked 14th in the medal standings, winning 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze awards.

The results of Ukrainian athletes at various international competitions indicate a high level of preparation and the athletes' interest in achieving great results in their sports.
