Exchange Rate Forecast in Ukraine at the Beginning of 2026

According to ХВИЛЯ: The dollar and euro exchange rates in Ukraine at the beginning of 2026 are forecasted against a backdrop of relative stability, according to the director of the Department of Financial Markets and Investment Activities of 'Globus Bank', Taras Lesoviy. The last days of 2025 and the first days of the new year from December 29 to January 4 are expected to remain within the defined rates for both currencies.

Currency Exchange Forecast

The interbank market's dollar exchange rate is expected to range from UAH 41.8 to UAH 42.4, while the cash market rate is expected to range from UAH 41.8 to UAH 42.6. Therefore, 100 dollars in hryvnias in the first days of 2026 will cost between UAH 4180 and UAH 4260, while 1000 dollars will cost between UAH 41800 and UAH 42600.

• The euro exchange rate in Ukraine during this same period will be within UAH 48.5-49.75 both on the interbank market and on the cash market.
• The cost of 100 euros in hryvnias will be from UAH 4850 to UAH 4975, and 1000 euros will cost between UAH 48500 and UAH 49750.

Taras Lesoviy noted that exchange offices would orient themselves to interbank indicators, and the dollar's exchange rate could reach UAH 43-43.5 by the end of the year.

This forecast reflects the overall stability of financial markets in Ukraine at the beginning of 2026. Important information is that exchange offices will focus on interbank rates, which may indicate a certain level of government control over the currency market.
