According to Главком: Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with the Speaker of the Latvian Saeima, Daiga Mieriņa, to discuss the state of Ukraine's energy system and Latvia's ongoing support. As part of this commitment, Latvia will allocate 15 million euros in 2026 to bolster the 'drone coalition' supporting Ukraine's defense. This coalition is a multinational initiative to supply Ukraine with crucial unmanned aerial systems.

Shmyhal emphasized the critical importance of international aid for Ukraine, stating that 'we are aware of the aggressor's objectives.' He also highlighted that Latvia's systematic decision to dedicate 0.25% of its Gross Domestic Product to aid Ukraine is a testament to the genuine friendship between the two nations.
