Lavrov's statements on the attack on Putin's residence

According to Главком: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated about an alleged attack by Ukraine on Vladimir Putin's state residence, in which, according to him, 91 drones were involved. Lavrov noted that these drones were shot down by Russia's air defense systems. The attack on the residence occurred on the night of December 29.

Lavrov also threatened that the targets and timing of the retaliatory strike in response to the attacks on Putin's state residence have already been determined. Vitaly Zaychenko, for his part, warned about preparations for a new massive Russian attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure with strike intervals of about every 10 days.

Escalation of tensions between Ukraine and Russia

Expert Andriy Kovalenko pointed out that Russia initially planned to hit Ukrainian infrastructure throughout the winter. He also expressed the opinion that Lavrov, speaking about the attack on Putin's residence, is actually masking a desire to continue strikes on Ukraine.

This situation indicates an escalation of tensions between Ukraine and Russia, where both sides continue to conduct an information war alongside military actions. Lavrov's and Zaychenko's statements may indicate Russia's intentions to increase pressure on Ukraine through strikes on critical infrastructure, which, in turn, could have serious consequences for the civilian population.

It is important to monitor developments in this context, as they may significantly impact the further dynamics of the conflict.
