Legendary Ukrainian composer predicted his death

Ukrainian composer Igor Poklad, who passed away on July 9, predicted his death, his wife Svetlana Poklad reported. They shared this with journalists in an interview for the magazine 'Gordon'.

I vividly remember, probably around January or February, he said: 'This will be my last summer'. I was in absolute shock: 'Igor, what are you saying! How can it be the last?! There is still so much to do.' 'No, this is my last summer,' he repeated several times...

His wife said that Poklad asked for his funeral to be modest and without hypocrisy. She also added that the late composer felt unwell after the 'shaheds' hit near their home. In the last moments before his death, she lit a church candle for him, which burned until his last breath.

Creativity and Achievements

Igor Poklad was famous for his music, having written more than 150 songs, including 'Beloved', 'Eyes on the Sand', 'Green Maple', 'Two Wings', 'Enchanting Violin', and others, which have forever entered Ukrainian culture. Additionally, he created music for various films and animated films.

During the difficult times of occupation in Vorzel, Igor Poklad and his wife continued to create and share their art with the people. To this day, the world has lost a talented musician; however, his legacy will remain forever in the hearts of his fans.
