According to glavcom.ua: Today, loud news has arrived: the former mayor of the Gornozavodsky district of the Perm region of the Russian Federation, Alexander Afanasyev, was liquidated at the front. He has been missing since April of this year after signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Initially, he was accused of illegally transferring shares to company managers, leading to increased salaries and bonuses for them. He led the district since 2011 and was the head of the city district since 2018.

Two Criminal Cases

Afanasyev left his position in 2016 due to abuse of power, and in December 2021 – due to a new criminal case. A Russian occupant, Ruslan Smolnikov, who had been involved in boxing and was born in 1993, was also eliminated.

Information has emerged about the destruction of the Russian athlete Sergei Pavlik by Ukrainian defenders. The citizenship of other affected persons has not been reported.

As a result of these events, it becomes clear that the former mayor was connected to criminal cases, and his elimination occurred at the front as part of the war.
