Growth of the electric vehicle market in Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: In November 2025, the Ukrainian market for passenger electric vehicles demonstrated significant growth, with the share of new electric vehicles surpassing the share of used ones for the first time. The total volume of the segment reached 13,500 units, indicating the active development of this segment of the automotive market in Ukraine.

The year-on-year growth amounted to 143.8% compared to November 2024. The number of new electric vehicles reached 3,154 units, accounting for 23.4% of the total volume. At the same time, the number of imported used electric vehicles was 7,569 units, representing 56.1% of the total volume. This indicates that new electric vehicle models are beginning to actively compete with used cars in the market.

Electric vehicle fleet statistics

As of the end of November 2025, the electric vehicle fleet in Ukraine consists of 214,700 units, with an average age of this fleet of 5.6 years. It is important to note that Tesla holds a 20.2% share of the fleet, while Nissan accounts for 17.4%.

Experts indicate that the return of VAT remains the main driver of growth in this segment.

As Ostap Novytsky notes, 'Plus 170% - such figures are rarely seen even by international analysts. Everyone who has the intention and means buys'.

This highlights the positive dynamics in the electric vehicle market in Ukraine, which may continue in the coming years.

The growth of the electric vehicle market in Ukraine indicates a change in consumer preferences and the growing popularity of eco-friendly transport options. In conditions where the country is trying to reduce dependence on traditional fuels, electric vehicles are becoming increasingly attractive to Ukrainian consumers. Furthermore, the proliferation of new models and the decrease in prices for electric vehicles may promote further growth in this segment, positively impacting the environmental situation in the country.
