NATO Urged by Lithuania to Prepare for Strikes on Kaliningrad

According to Главком: Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys recently stressed that NATO must be ready to take out Russian military assets in the Kaliningrad region. He pointed out that the alliance has the capability to destroy Russian missile sites and air defense systems there, especially in the event of a direct confrontation with Moscow. Budrys warned that the Baltic states would likely be the first to face an attack in any conflict between Russia and NATO, making it essential to stop viewing the area as merely the "eastern flank."

Budrys also called on European nations to rapidly and significantly boost their military strength, with a particular focus on enhancing air defense in the Baltics. He urged the European Union to evolve into a true geopolitical force and backed the idea of building Germany into the continent’s strongest conventional military. Collaboration with Ukraine

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda also shared his views on working with Ukraine. Speaking at the Daimex Baltic 2026 conference in Vilnius, he expressed readiness to move forward with joint defense projects. Nausėda stated:
