The court found the claims groundless and ruled that Naomi Perry and Catriona Gourlay should receive compensation.

Winehouse had accused stylist Naomi Perry and friend Catriona Gourlay of auctioning off Amy Winehouse’s personal items in 2021 and 2023 without his consent. He sought more than $930,000 in damages, but Judge Sarah Clarke dismissed the case. As a result, Winehouse must pay Perry over $760,000 and Gourlay over $527,000.

It is also worth noting that Winehouse spent roughly $1.28 million on his own legal fees. Amy Winehouse passed away in July 2011 at the age of 27, with alcohol poisoning listed as the cause of death.
