Lviv calls for snow removal
Львів закликає підприємства та мешканців приєднатися до прибирання снігу: очікуються великі снігопади.

Address from the Mayor of Lviv regarding snow cleaning

According to Главком: The Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, has appealed to businesses and residents of the city to help with snow removal, predicting significant snowfall. It is expected that on January 8, about 20-25 cm of snow will fall in several regions of Ukraine, which may lead to complications in transport and create dangerous conditions.

As of now, there have been 22 reports in Lviv regarding uncleared roads and two reports regarding sidewalks. The orange level of danger, which indicates potential risks for residents, has been announced. Sadovyi urged entrepreneurs to join in the snow removal around their establishments, offices, and enterprises, noting that the equipment is working continuously, but cleared areas are quickly covered by new snow.

Recommendations for residents

The Mayor also advised residents to reschedule meetings and be careful on the roads.

“Do not park cars in difficult places, at turns, and on narrow streets. Parked cars are currently the biggest obstacle to the equipment's work and create additional risks,” - emphasized Andriy Sadovyi.

He urged residents to report areas where the situation is critical, as more reports are expected.

The predicted snowfall may significantly impact Lviv's infrastructure, particularly on transport movement and pedestrian safety. The Mayor's call for cooperation between businesses and residents highlights the importance of collective efforts in overcoming weather challenges. The situation may be complicated by improper parking of cars that hinder the work of municipal equipment, so active community participation in snow removal is critically important for ensuring safety and convenience of movement around the city.
