Train travel in Europe is becoming increasingly popular, especially the route from Madrid to Malaga, which has been recognized as the most popular on the continent. The number of bookings for this route has increased by 74.1% compared to the previous year, according to data from the Omio platform. This route through olive groves and the hills of Sierra Morena has become a favorite among tourists in Spain. The journey takes less than three hours, and tickets cost from $20 one way, making it accessible for a quick getaway to the sunny beaches of Malaga. These trips have become a 'must-do rail journey this summer', where travelers can enjoy a day trip or extend it overnight to take in the sights and attractions at a more leisurely pace. Other popular routes in Europe include Alicante - Madrid, Madrid - Seville, Lisbon - Porto, and Barcelona - Valencia. The number of search queries for 'vacation in Spain' on Google has increased by 31%, but the presence of poisonous sea slugs at some beaches on the Costa Blanca has posed a threat to vacationers.
