Almost 600 hryvnias per kilogram: the price of a popular product has jumped in Ukraine

Over the past month, prices for dairy products in Ukraine have fluctuated. Some products have become cheaper, while others have increased in price, reported the Association of Milk Producers.

'Over the past month, pasteurized milk with a fat content of up to 2.6% in film, kefir with a fat content of 2.5% in Tetra Pak and glass, fermented cottage cheese with a fat content of 9% and 'Suluguni' cheese has become cheaper. Prices for other dairy products in the consumer basket have either remained unchanged or on average increased by 2.9%', - said ABM analyst Georgiy Kukhaleyshvili.

In June, pasteurized milk with a fat content of up to 2.6% cost an average of 45.65 UAH per kilogram, which is 75 kopecks less than in May. However, kefir with a fat content of 2.5% in film has increased in price by 37 kopecks to 55.54 UAH per kilogram.Among the products that have significantly increased in price, sour cream with a fat content of 15% in cups stands out - 191.13 UAH per kilogram, domestically produced butter cost 584.82 UAH per kilogram in January. The analyst explained that prices are rising due to increases in the global market.Thus, prices for dairy products in Ukraine change under the influence of market factors and global trends. It is worth monitoring the situation, as it may affect the consumption habits of Ukrainians.
