How they responded to the speculation

According to Главком: Ukrainian singer Max Barsky and director Alan Badoev have released a collaborative video where they sarcastically address rumors of a romantic relationship between them-claims that were circulated by psychologist Nataliia Kholodenko. Posted on Barsky’s Instagram, the clip features the two artists promoting a chocolate bar while also denying Kholodenko’s assertions about their relationship.

The gossip first surfaced after Kholodenko hinted at a romance during a podcast hosted by blogger Vasyl Tymoshenko. In response, both Barsky and Badoev issued a joint statement clarifying that their bond is strictly platonic.

Lately, social media has been buzzing with nothing but talk about me and Max-as if we’ve been inseparable for years, like a couple in a fog.

Barsky then added:

It’s time to tell the truth. We really are the perfect pair…

Promotion and reaction

In the advertisement itself, the artists posed the question: 'What did you think?'-underscoring their lighthearted take on the rumors. Additionally, Barsky posted a statement denying Kholodenko’s claims, writing: 'I hope normal people don’t take this fraud, this pseudo-psychologist, seriously. What is she even rambling about? A hype chaser!'

Badoev also weighed in on Kholodenko, saying: 'Listen, I recently heard about Ukraine’s greatest psychologist. Well, you know who I mean. A certain lively woman. I just want to say-I hope you’re not going to her, right? Who would even seek treatment from her? I don’t think you should, because she won’t cure you. Better to subscribe to me and Max, listen to our songs, and enjoy good art.'

In response to the situation, Nataliia Kholodenko wrote a sarcastic post addressing Barsky and Badoev: 'Oh my God, guys, why are you so worked up? There’s enough for everyone! Love you, Alan, Max. Your buddy-night.'

Notably, Max Barsky is currently working on his upcoming Ukrainian-language album, which will include the tracks:

  • Zakokhany
  • Ne skladaietsia
  • Slozy
  • Kolyshnii

This episode highlights how quickly rumors can spread in the world of social media and why it’s crucial for public figures to address them. Barsky and Badoev chose a playful, ironic approach-allowing them not only to dismiss false claims but also to draw attention to their creative projects, particularly Barsky’s new album. Meanwhile, Kholodenko’s reaction shows how such situations can become fodder for jokes and sarcasm in the public eye.

While Max Barsky and Alan Badoev have taken a humorous approach to the rumors surrounding their relationship, this isn’t the first time Barsky has found himself in the spotlight due to controversial remarks. Recently, he responded sharply to a psychologist after a podcast stirred up its own set of controversies, highlighting the ongoing scrutiny of his personal life and public persona.
