Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Received Record Support During the War
Since the introduction of the state portfolio guarantee tool in December 2020, more than 49,000 loans totaling over 160 billion UAH have been issued. During the martial law period, over 44,000 loans totaling more than 149 billion UAH were issued.
In July, entrepreneurs received over 567 loans totaling more than 2.2 billion UAH, with state-guaranteed principal obligations amounting to over 1.2 billion UAH.
By the beginning of August, 28 lending banks were servicing over 23,000 loans totaling more than 80 billion UAH. Obligations for the principal, partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis, amount to over 36.6 billion UAH. This is 71% of the total limit of provided guarantees.
The leading banks in terms of the number of serviced loans are: PrivatBank - over 15,000 loans, Oschadbank - over 3,000 loans, Ukrgasbank - over 1,000 loans, PUMB - over 700 loans, Ukreximbank - over 500 loans.
According to information provided by the National Bank of Ukraine, the state portfolio guarantee program successfully supports small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, helping entrepreneurs obtain loans for the development of their businesses.
