Drone attack on Mykolaiv
Внаслідок потужної атаки безпілотників на Миколаїв зафіксовані масштабні руйнування, але серед мирного населення немає постраждалих.

Attack on Mykolaiv

According to Главком: On the night of January 3, Mykolaiv was subjected to a massive strike by Russian drones. The first explosions occurred around 00:30. As a result of the attack, explosions were recorded, but no casualties among the civilian population were found. The air raid alert lasted for 45 minutes and was canceled at 01:16.

The Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych, and the head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim, confirmed that despite the explosions, there were no casualties among civilians. This attack occurred a few weeks after previous strikes, particularly on the night of December 20, when Russian forces also struck Mykolaiv and the region. At that time, problems with electricity supply were recorded in Mykolaiv and adjacent areas.

Situation in Ukraine

This new phase of aggression against Mykolaiv comes against the backdrop of recent attacks that have affected other regions of Ukraine. For instance, on the night of December 13, Russian terrorists attacked Odesa and the region, and on the night of December 12, drone strikes were carried out in the Odesa district, resulting in the deaths of seven people and fifteen injured. The situation remains tense; however, in Mykolaiv, fortunately, it was possible to avoid civilian casualties during the recent attack.

Massive strikes on Mykolaiv and other regions of Ukraine indicate the continuation of the war and the escalation of the conflict. Although in this case, civilian casualties were avoided, this does not diminish the overall threat faced by Ukrainian cities. Constant attacks on critical infrastructure can have serious consequences for the normal life of the population, particularly in terms of security and electricity supply.
