According to РБК-Україна — Lite: In the early hours of June 15, Russia launched a large-scale assault on Ukraine, with Kyiv as the primary target. TV host Lesya Nikityuk, who was at home with her son during the night, was forced to take shelter in an underground parking garage three levels below ground. She described the ordeal:
