According to glavcom.ua: On the night of December 7, the occupiers attacked Ukraine's critical infrastructure using missiles and drones. This information about the incident was disseminated by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the 'Glavcom' portal.

Details of the Attack

According to the data from the radio-technical troops of the Air Forces, 246 attacking means were detected and accompanied, including ballistic missiles and drones. The list of attacks included various types of missiles and drones from different directions, including Russia and Crimea.

  • 3 Kh-47M2 'Kinzhal' missiles
  • 2 'Iskander-M/KN-23' missiles

Defense of the Attack

As a result of successful defense, 179 airborne targets of the mentioned types were shot down or suppressed, including 65 drones, in various locations. The defense process involved the participation of aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and other military units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The city of Kremenchuk in Poltava region also suffered from the attack, leading to issues with electricity supply, water supply, and heating in some areas. Local services are currently working to restore the operation of critical systems.

Other Attacks

It is also worth noting that in the evening of December 6, an attack by Russian occupation forces was recorded in Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv region using 'Geran-2' drones.

Ukraine has again become a target of aggression, in other words - Russian military-political escalation. Despite the repelled attack, assaults on the country's critical infrastructure remain a serious threat that needs to be monitored closely and responded to appropriately by all military and diplomatic means.
